Thank You Jeff and Joe

Thank you Jeff and Joe. You two are so generous to #AIDSLifeCycle. You guys are in the Top Ten of my wonderful family and friends supporting #AIDSLifeCycle 2019.

Less than 162 days ;-) until we ride out from the Cow Palace to ride from #SanFrancisco to #LosAngeles for 7 days and over 545 miles to help #EndHivAids.

We are all committed to help end HIV/AIDS. I will continue to raise funds to combat this disease until we reach the day that no one has to anymore.

And for my friends and family who are continuing to help end HIV/AIDS, please go to:

You are our #Heroes #RideLoveLive #TakeCareOfEachOther and we think about why we give, roadie, and ride

  • for those who can't
  • for those who live
  • for those who give
  • and most of all, for those who can't live if we don't give

#PositivePedalers #EndingStigma will #RideLoveLive until HIV/AIDS is a thing of the past.

Thanks Marti and Steve for being AIDS/LifeCycle Angels!

Thank you Marti and Steve Scruggs for being the first to donate for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 — and now 2019.

I appreciate all those who supported AIDS/LifeCycle on behalf of my participation -- with a total of $181,146 raised, we are in the Top 10 Fundraisers for 2014, 2015, and 2016, and Top 10 Northern California Fundraisers for 2017 and 2018.

What will we do for AIDS/LifeCycle 2019?

#9 AIDS/LifeCycle East Bay Wildcats Training Ride

Distance: 58.2 mi Elevation: +3909 / -3907 ft The motivation to get up out of bed to train for AIDS/LifeCycle this morning was almost nil. But I did. Why? Because I reminded myself that the folks who rely on our fundraising to benefit the @sfaidsfound and @lalgbtcenter sometimes don’t have a choice. I trained today, but not as a training ride leader (TRL). We had a great group of newbies, veterans, and volunteer TRLs. I opted for half Diablo via St. Mary's Road, Tice Valley to Crest, then Danville Boulevard to Lunardi's. From there, Camino Tassajara to Blackhawk Road & go up the S Gate and descend on N Gate Road through Walnut Creek, Lafayette & Hidden Valley. . Rides of 20 & 30 miles were available as an out and back. A 46-mile route without the Diablo climb was available as well. . I rode mostly by myself and as I climbed towards South Gate, I was asking myself WHY?! And I just needed to remind myself. . I did it. Got back home and went to the gym with John and I treated myself to a double cheeseburger, onion rings and coffee malt — boy, am I full and tired. . Have a great weekend and for those that still have clocks, don’t forget to set them 1 hour forward for Daylight Savings Time. And for my friends and family who are continuing to help end HIV/AIDS? Please go to: . . http://www.tofighthiv.org/goto/artdesuyo . . We will #RideLoveLive until HIV/AIDS is a thing of the past. . . . . #aidslifecycle #endhivaids #giving #givingback #community #cycling #anniversary #doublecheeseburger #friends #ride545 #sftola #coffeemalt #onionrings #yummy

Gratitude to wonderful people

First, thank you to many friends and family for congratulating John and me after "I" brazenly solicited donations on behalf of our 38th anniversary.

Second, not that we were seeking gifts to be bestowed upon our 38th year of being together -- thank you Justin and Mauricio for such a lovely gift.

And many, many thanks to ...

to AIDS/LifeCycle

So, if you're ready to donate to AIDS/LifeCycle on behalf of Art and John's non-celebratory brazen (there's that word again) solicitation for our 38th Anniversary and my fundraising to help end HIV/AIDS through the efforts of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, please click on the following link:

Today's Training Ride

Back in the saddle

I know many weeks and months have passed since my daily posts. Even though that life challenges came about, I was still dedicated to riding. Friends and family have helped me raise $6,678 so we're well on our way to reaching my goal of $30k for AIDS/LifeCycle 2018.

Please enjoy my latest views of my solo training ride.
