Team EDNA thanks our supporters for our Buon Vino Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Team EDNA appreciates all the love and support we have received in just a few short days to hold our first fundraiser with a silent auction, but last night attests that we were not quiet at all.

Tanner contacted Dan Batlin, Founder of Buon Vino in Walnut Creek, early February and on March 13, we reserved April 9 for our fundraiser for 45 guests (including team members who can attend). Emails are sent to the team members about the fundraiser and requests help for catering and auction items. We then get a reminder on March 26. All of a sudden April 1, is upon us and with all our training, personal fundraising, and day jobs, we forgot and all realize we've got a team fundraiser to host. With calls, emails, and letters we confirm guest attendance and receive 23 wonderful auction items from accommodations; health, wellness and beauty services and products; bike shop and fit; restaurants; and local grocery and hardware store.

And, on Wednesday, April 8, we still don't have a caterer, so a few of us agree to bring appetizers for Thursday. Tanner calls Whole Foods in Walnut Creek Wednesday and voila we are provided with aram meat and vegetarian sandwiches, chicken satay, and dessert to go along with our appetizers. We certainly felt the love bubble come into play.

Please visit our Buon Vino Wine Tasting Fundraiser page to see the details on what everyone had the chance to grab with the right bid.

Before sharing our photos and kinda short video of the evening, we do want to thank all our sponsors and donors.

And on with the photos ...

What does this have to do with the fundraiser?
Glad you asked. On our Way to Walnut Creek,
I realized and saw just how high Mt. Diablo is - 3,848 feet to be exact.

For AIDS/LifeCycle, with train up this mountain at least twice during the season.

Now for the fundraiser photos ...

Well, how about a short video at the start of the fundraiser?

The table is set

Twinsies

The start of mingling

The original Team EDNA of two

Hector getting a head-start on auction items

So much food, so little time

See, more food

And, the crowds begin to grow

Is this a long line for wine tasting?

More folks on the auction side of the table, than the food side

Mary is interested in the items on this side of the table

Tanner posing

and, action

Thanks for the photo, John Hemm

Are we having fun, yet?

Don, experienced ALC'er and Hector, ALC newbie

Linda said she and her husband, Scott love wine.
That's why there's more than just a taste in their glasses.

John and Amy resting before protecting their bids

Hector is everywhere

Newly minted friends, long-time friends and just introduced and will become friends

She's the leader of the pack

So she keeps the money

Only their hairdresser knows

These women are A W E S O M E ! ! !

Hmmmm? I want that and that, oooh, and that, WOW, that would be nice, too.

Not sure if we're listening to one person

The Foundation of Team EDNA Captains
of course - they're wonder women

A toast for Richard always sharing a glass of wine on the 9th with/for Edna

Rachel wouldn't let me take a photo ...

so she buried her head into Richard's jacket.
She is so sweet. She teared up (ok, cried) when
Tanner gave a toast to Richard and
shared with everyone why Team EDNA
was created.

Why is Michelle so introverted?

The start of a beautiful relationship and Team EDNA

Tanner leading, again!

Why wasn't Rachel in this picture?

Smiles for everyone

Does it look like they're having fun?

John Hemm and I finally meet - Go Team EDNA'ettes
